        Not sure if I can make it back. But will try. Now in San Diego. I was a supply teacher at the country school where you were a VP.

  3. There is nothing better than High School memories. Proud to have been the Class of 81 Valedictorian, proud President of the band and member of the Athletic Association. Have some wonderful “life long” friends from C.D.C.I. West. It is sad to know that it will be gone. However, the rest of my brothers and sisters all went to the East. Cobourg is a great community, and a definite part of our family heritage. Will try to attend the festivities.

  4. Alas, my academic decline started here. Nonetheless, Cobourg was about the nicest place I ever lived. Purvis Kinney Grade 12 (1963)

      I remember golfing at the old Cobourg Golf Course in your beat up Volkswagen one night over a Christmas holiday period. This was after a drive down the three hills in Cobourg.

      • Well Hello, Sue Bedard… I wish I could attend the festivities but am unable to attend… Living in Winnipeg. It would be so fun to see the old crowd again and walk those halls one last time… Many memories.. Say ‘Hi’ for me to those I would know.

  11. Class of 1964. Graduated from the East Collegiate . My entrance to high school was at CDCI West. Many happy memories. Would love to see if I can find my old classrooms etc–just walk the steps and halls again. A historical landmark for Cobourg. My living 95 year old mother went to school there as well. Enjoy her stories about travel to school from village of Cold Springs.

  12. Class of 1996. Can’t wait to see teachers and classmates I haven’t seen in years. To wander the halls one last time and shoot some hoops in the gym. And of course sing that old fight song one last time!

  13. I send best wishes for a great reunion! My Dad (C Gordon King, former principal) and my Mom (Grace nee Mitchell, who was a student at CDCI West in the 30s), and I will be there in spirit. They were wonderful years for me..1953-58. Many lifelong friendships were formed during those years, and I have great gratitude for the caring, stimulating teachers we had then. Very sad to see the old building close…and I know Dad would be sad as well.

    • Hi Carol;
      Just learned of reunion today. Peter McCaig’s sister told me, she is up visiting big brother. But, seeing you won’t be there, I’m a lot less disappointed that I wasn’t aware? How are you? and JoAnne T, and any others that I would remember? Everythin is pretty good, between grandkids, 6, 3 around corner and 3 in California, golf, bridge with Peter, fiddiling with the market, some gardening and staying out of Lynn’s way, life goes on. It would be great to hear from you! Take care…….
