  1. Its makes me sad to see the West close. I remember my very first day of school there, for me it was the middle of winter. I was the new kid. That day changed my life. I made new friends ( who I still talk to til this day. I learned some lessons. I often revisit Cobourg and see teachers I once had. As well into my adult life in a new city I still run into teachers. This school was a great influence in my life. I’ll always remember it. P.s. everyone knows the chocolate chip cookies in the cafeteria were the best! Go vikings!

  2. Some of the best years of my life were spent at the West. Two teachers from the 70’s made the biggest impression on me, Mr. Clarke and Mr. Lawless. Fond memories that will always remain with me. Though I have long since moved from Cobourg I often return for visits and it will always be a place I call home.

  3. The four most fun years of my life. I loved the sports, the friends, the laughs, the teachers, bus trips to the sporting events, indoor track meets, all of the assemblies my friends and I took part in, pushing a penny down the hall with my nose, Singing I am a little teapot in front of a Grade 12 English class during initiation, I ate French fries for lunch for four solid years, the Gravy was the best in the West Cafeteria in the early 80’s…….Fond Memories, 4 of my six children graduated from the West as well, my Mom and Dad went there, my Grandma and a lot of my cousins attended too. Can’t wait to see everyone again!!!!!
