Cobourg District Collegiate Institute West — a place that has meant so much to so many for the past 114 years. An educational hallmark with a strong sporting legacy and vibrant student spirit, the school has provided a rich history and memories for everyone who has studied, worked, or spent time here.

The major social event of the weekend is the Alumni Social and Dance on Saturday night at the Cobourg Community Centre. We have rented out The Bowl, gymnasium, and adjacent multipurpose rooms in anticipation of 1,000 Vikings joining us for one final school mixer. CDCI West alumni and their families are excited to have this opportunity to reminisce, eat, dance, and socialize with old friends.

To ensure a truly memorable event, we are seeking community sponsorship from local businesses. This is a tremendous opportunity to market your brand, products, and services. Attendees span multiple decades and even generations, with many local residents and many others travelling to Cobourg planning to attend the event.

Any proceeds from the dance will be used to create a Viking Alumni Bursary available to the graduating class of CDCI West 2015.

Supporting this event is a way to show pride in the community and its history and to support a celebration of a long-standing Cobourg institution. It is also a way to enhance your organization’s reputation and visibility and to market your company to a large audience in a positive atmosphere.
