Roam the West hallways and classrooms, reminiscing about your times of blue and gold. The afternoon will feature refreshments, music and displays of memorabilia and photographs of Vikings throughout the school’s history.
CDCI West secretaries are coordinating memorabilia and items for display during regular business hours. All items accepted for the Open House will be tracked, and you will be provided a receipt for the loan.
Pick-up of memorabilia after the event will be Monday-Wednesday, June 15-17. For details, please call the school at 905-372-2191 or email susan_day@kprdsb.ca.
Please note that the second and third floors of the school are not wheelchair accessible.

Everything has its time, yours will always live in my mind , and the staff, the students and support that made you alive.

I am suddenly reminded of my first day of high school, Sept. 1957. Gerry Lawless was my 9E home room teacher, and now he has a whole gymnatorium named after him. Hard to believe that’s almost 60 years ago.

I was also in Gerry Lawless’ Grade 9 Home Room…that would have been 1955 I think. I was new to Cobourg and high school. He was so wonderful at making students comfortable. Hope I can find that classroom and any classmate from that era!
